I hope you and your spouse will join us for our first Couples Retreat this coming April 13th-15th! The theme of the event is “The Art of Marriage.” Marriage, the way God intended it to be, is a true art form. That’s why for more than 40 years, FamilyLife has been helping couples understand God’s plan for relationships. The Art of Marriage® weaves together expert teaching, real-life stories, humorous vignettes, and more to portray both the challenges and the beauty of God’s design. In The Art of Marriage, over 40 ministry leaders provide biblically-centered teaching while couples who have struggled in marriage openly and honestly share their stories of pain, loss, forgiveness, and grace. Please contact Robert Hatcher to register or for further information. email@example.com
This is a Somerville First United Methodist Church event so no other churches or outside leaders will be involved. This event is an opportunity for our members to come together for great fellowship and learn more about becoming closer with our spouse.
Q: Will I have to engage in group discussion?
A: FamilyLife has not designed the event with any planned group discussions. So don’t think if you go you will have to share details about your marriage unless you feel lead to do so.
Q: Will I be required to participate in the projects with my spouse?
A: This event was designed so that the projects are an essential part of the event experience. The projects allow you to immediately apply what you’ve learned from the videos to your marriage. We highly recommend that you make the completion of the projects a priority during the event. We’ve received many comments from other participants who say the projects were the best part of the event.
